According to my math (which really ought to be better after this much D&D), I haven’t emailed you in two years and nineteen days.
Sorry about that.
Life got weird for all of us, and then really busy for me - I ended up having another kid, moving halfway across the country, buying a house, fixing it up a bit, getting a new job, starting a garden, killing said garden, and generally doing the stuff that we play D&D to escape for a few hours.
I also moved digitally, and this email is coming to you courtesy of Substack instead of juggling Wordpress and hosting and domains and whatnot. Hopefully that’s alright. If not (or if this email is coming to you as a rude shock that you’d rather not experience again), I completely understand if you decide to unsubscribe. I’ll be about 7% sad, but I’ll understand.
On the bright side, you can now yell at me using nifty stuff like comments (oo fancy button!) or you can always just reply to this email as usual.
Anyway - I hope to be back in action bringing you cool and useful things I’ve found across the web, like these from today:
Seven Tips for Better Dungeons - Mike Shea via Sly Flourish
How to Create a Lost Civilization From the Radiant Citadel - Mike Bernier via DnDBeyond
The Midsummer Lands – Hex Map 5 - Dyson’s Dodecahedron (this is a super cool series you should totally check out!)
Now get out there and tell a story!
Peace,
Maximilian Hart
P.S. Please let me know what you think of the move and restarting these emails. Though I’ve not stopped playing, I’ve been pretty out of touch with the online D&D world for a bit and I’ll be slow to get my bearings again. Is there anything you think I ought to know before I jump back in?
P.P.S. The digital move, not the physical one. I’m sorta stuck with that one.
I've Moved ... Literally
Huzzah! Long time no see! Still playing D&D ourselves. Ran through saltwater marsh, now in curse of strahd. Fun times.
Huzzah! Good to see you!
